Tutorial #1: Sakura (from TRC)
I didn't think people would have requested some tutorials, but I'm really happy about that! =D
This is my first tutorial, so I hope it's clear for everybody. If some parts are not clear, feel free to ask. ^^
Please try not to recreate the icon 100%, and experimentation on your part is highly encouraged! ^_^
Tutorial requested by spork_ness.

Today we're going from this:
to

Made with Photoshop CS. (If anyone has PSP, I would really appreciate if you could tell me if it's translatable or not. Thank you. ^^)

So, this is our base:

I think it's way too dark. So, let's do this:
1. Duplicate your layer and set it to Overlay 100%. Do that one more time and set it to Overlay 50%.
=>
Yay teh brightness! That's much better, isn't it? ^^

2. Now, take this texture (from anais_dirge) and paste it on your icon. Set it to Lighten 100%.
=>

3. Paste this texture (by anais_dirge) and set it to Lighten 100%.
=>

4. Mh, maybe her face it's too bright? So, let's paste this texture (by anais_dirge) and set it to Color Burn 50%.
Then add a white border of 2px.
=>

5. Now add another grey border of 1px. You're done~! ^_^

I hope this was useful! Anyway, thanks for reading this tutorial! I'd love to see your result, by the way! =D

I don't think this is translatable because your tut has Color Burn; PSP doesn't have that feature. But I used Burn instead, and the icon came out fine. Thanks for taking the time to write this! Memming~ :3

Thank you for posting such a help tutorial. ^-^ I also have PSP and it worked perfectly with the tutorial. I used the same images to make sure it transferred right (didn't save it though), instead of color burn it's just burn. (As was previously stated) but that's okay. Love your icons.

Also, your tutorial gave me a better feel on what to do. I feel I can create pretty icons too.
